THE ALUMINUM KER BOX

I'm sunny, a happy salesgirl who has worked in LML for over five years. In my career, I have met many interesting clients and made lots of unforgettable transactions. 

Doing the foreign trade is not easy. We have dealings with different clients from different countries all the time. Somethings embarrassed or interesting are always happening. Though we will always have many difficulties in discussing products together, I always adhere to the our company’s service attitude that quality is most important in trade and we will try our best to serve every client well.

In 2016, I met a simple enquiry for a difficult product from a German client. We reached a deal for three months. Later, we cooperated from 2016 to now. I'm incredible, too.

He found our company and he wanted to make a box similar to an electronic cigarette box for holding keys. No samples, no drawings, only a simple idea. At first I thought he was joking with me, and I even thought he didn't really want to cooperate with us. I didn't give up because the idea of our company is to do a good job in every service. So I chose to keep talking with him.

Without samples, drawings or even detailed instructions, it was difficult for our engineers to draw the drawings. According to our abundant experience, we had drawn many drawings for him to choose. You couldn’t imagine how many problems we encountered when communicating about the designs of the key box. We often had video calls and discussed about product details. We always spent several hours or even an afternoon discussing a slightly complex issue until we finally reach an agreement.

Our engineers and I spent a lot of energy and time designing drawings step by step and tried our best to meet the requirements of client. We made great progress. According to our experience, our team guided the design, modified the idea, and then confirmed the drawings to the client step by step. Finally, our engineers completed the drawing. We constantly confirmed with clients whether the size was reasonable and whether the processing was feasible. After more than 5 times of modification, the drawing was determined.

    Next was to select the material. clients wanted to use the aluminum, but he was not sure its type. He just required the surface should be similar to that of apple computer. It’s a piece of cake. Under the guidance of our engineers, we found that Al6061 or Al6063 materials were most suitable for CNC machining parts and close to the surface of Macintosh. After discussing, we decided to use Al6061 

Therefore, we set about making samples for clients' reference. As you can see, LML would make samples for clients' reference to avoid some detailed faults before producing. We made the best cost-effective products to protect the rights and interests of clients.

 Unfortunately, we met another problem when making samples. Because the aluminum key box was too deep, making it impossible to make products with ordinary tools. So we made special tools after 15 days to make the first five rough embryos and sandblast three times to confirm them.

After that, we began to anodize these samples. We found that the hanging point of anodizing is very large, with white spots, water stains and scratches, which made the surface look bad. After discussing the detailed requirements with the anodizing factory once again, the anodizing effect was much better and the surface problems had been solved. Two of the five pieces were carefully selected and sent to clients by DHL express as soon as possible.

Three days later, the client received the samples. There was no problem with the appearance. He was very satisfied with the quality. In addition, he put forward another demand that the cover should be smooth and easy to use, and the box body should not be scratched too tightly to open. In short, a very precise tolerance was required between the box and the cover. Therefore, the manager of our engineering department adjusted the machine in person and made 10 sets of samples. Finally, after 5 times of debugging, the most suitable samples was successfully produced and sent to the client for confirmation. After receiving the new samples, he suddenly wanted a logo on the surface, but he still didn't determine its type. So we discussed and gave him white or silver silk-screen logo for him to choose from.

And this was not over yet. He asked that there should be sponge pads and sponge rods in
the box. We couldn’t produce then, but our expertise prompted us to help him find a new supplier to make this sponge liner. Finally, we managed to help clients find suitable suppliers to complete this part of the work. After finishing the liner, I thought the silk-screen logo was easy to be scraped off. Therefore, we suggested that the client should laser the logo instead of silk-screen. Finally, our company successfully produced this perfect aluminum key box.

    After 3 months of proofing, modification, communication and running-in, we have made great efforts in aluminum key box to meet any requirements of clients. Recalling the whole process of this transaction, we spent a lot of time and patience on the aluminum key box and gained a lot from it. To this end, our clients have highly praised our services and products, and the most important things are our patience, service and confidence in the product manufacturing process. So far, client is still cooperating with us.

In the process of communication, being patient with clients is crucial. clients often have new ideas suddenly, so we often talk with clients until two or three in the morning.
